Change
We live in a complex and connected world that is full of uncertainty. The last two years are a clear proof of how sensitive are all the systems that we built so precisely.
Companies, economics, societies, relationships, healthcare, everything changed in just a few months. The world we knew will never be the same. But despite everything that happened, one thing is certain - this will surely pass! Because, as Heraclitus said more than 2,400 years ago, "the only thing that is constant is change." And this is so wonderful.
Constant motion
Wherever we look we can notice that everything is in constant motion. Changes happen literally every second. The planet we live on is constantly moving and changing. And every living creature is no exception. Everyone is looking for food, energy and is constantly changing under the influence of the environment.
Maybe this is why we are used to seeing change as something that comes only from the outside. This is why we expect someone else to get us promoted. Or we expect to meet someone who will make us "truly" happy. Or we are just waiting for something to happen that will turn our lives around and make us richer. Success, happiness, money. Everyone wants and hopes for a certain amount of them.
But hope alone cannot help us go far. If we just hope, in reality this is pure inaction. Because hope is something static, but change is dynamic. And more precisely action, action, action!
And who is responsible for our actions? We can find that very close to us - right in the mirror.
Decision time
Since our actions depend on us, we are the only ones who can decide to do something different and thus cause change. Yes, exactly. We can boldly provoke change right here and now, and the only condition for that is to make a decision what to do different! And this is actually the surest way we can have a control - by making a decision which actions we want to change.
Because we decide if we continue studying, even though we have just graduated and found a good job. We decide if we are grateful for everything we have and we value ourselves to be truly happy. And yes, we decide whether we become better in our profession, whether we save, whether we invest and whether we make money work for us instead of us for it. And all these decisions can be like keys to the changes we want.
New point of view
If we possess such a great power in our hands, maybe it is better we love and provoke change. In this way everything will depend solely on us, because it is our decision.
And every time we achieve what we desire, we will be rewarded with that wonderful feeling that we are the masters of our faith and the captains of our lives. Which is actually the truth itself!
