The most important thing in the world

Have you ever asked yourself, what is the most important thing in the world? Or at least, in your own world? Your job? Money? Your hobby? Your family? Your friends? Or maybe it‘s something else that you consider as your most precious. Something that you really can‘t go without.

Priorities

In fact, we all have different priorities depending on the situation around us and the current moment in our lives. A student, who just got into the university has quite different days and goals than a manager, who works for an international company. But despite all the differences, in my opinion, the most important thing for everyone of us is actually our own health. Sounds a cliché, right. Health.

But if we want to have a successful career, or if we want to earn more money, or we simply want to enjoy our hobbies, friends or our family, we truly need to be healthy.

Unfortunately, we underestimate selfcare very often, or we put something else on the top our list, which is „so urgent“ or „extremely important“. After that comes something else, and then something else, and we don‘t start thinking about our health until our body gets tired of our continuous ignorance. Because health is not a coincidence, but a result of many things we do or we don‘t do.

Maintenance

Hippocrates himself said that „the natural healing force within each of us is the greatest force in getting well”. Our bodies are governed by this healing response no matter the state we are in. But what happens when we put stress in our bodies, which is very often unnecessary? Or we don‘t take enough time to rest? The system gets overload and it gives us signals that there is something wrong.

Do we actually need to get to this moment. I think that we don‘t. And I don‘t mean that we only have to focus on our health. I honestly believe that we should constantly try to become more and aim for higher goals. But it‘s also nice to realize that everything we want to do will always be based on our own health.

Therefore, the maintenance of our body should be regularly on our list of goals. Because there is nothing more valuable than health.

Influence

Think about it for a second. When we are in a sound health we help our family and closest friends feel good and calm about us. In this way we help them be healthy and happy. If they are healthy they also help other people feel good and be healthier. Do you now realize now what influence you have on others and how important your own health actually is? Both, for you and for everyone else.

Be responsible to yourself and others. Be healthy.
